Music Video Analysis - Pretty Hurts by Beyonce\'
The motion-picture show I chose to try out is Beyoncé Knowles attractive Hurts, from her album Beyoncé which was released in 2013. The medical specialty television was tell by Melina Matsoukas. The form starts off with a flourish military asking Beyoncé, who plays a pageant demonstrator, what is her aspiration in intent and Beyoncé answers to be apt. To me, the song beautiful Hurts, means some 1 who goes above and beyond to try and ensure in and be something they are not. In the end, they may decease what they have been trying to sire merely deep exhaust inside they still wholeow not be happy with themselves. The song Pretty Hurts is a voice that targets young girls and portrays a baffles contradiction. The music video however, signifies the reality of life and sets a biliousness to the viewers. \nThe first base of the song fabricates the setting of the video, a pageant scene. The song goes on and Beyoncé begins to sing about how her induce always to ld her that peach tree is only that matters in this world: mammary gland said, Youre a pretty girl, whats in your head, it doesnt matter. The chorus of the song contradicts what her mother tells her because the chorus sings about how women peel to be perfect to pass societys model of beauty. Beyoncé also sings about how plenty should not focus besides on physical beauty because that is not all that matters or else they need to focus on the beauty within which is self-love. The song is about loving oneself and not striving for perfection because we all know no one is perfect.\n In the music video Beyoncé plays a pageant contestant who strives to be perfect to look into in with the other girls she is competing with, but no matter how bad she tries she cannot succeed. The music video to Pretty Hurts would be considered a abstract video because the purpose of the video was not to tell a story but to create a certain mood.
